HTSB Golf Tournament Fundraiser

June 9, 2007

Alhambra golf The Episcopal Church Men (ECM) held a golf tournament fundraising event on Saturday June 9, 2007.  Thirty Seven golfers began the day at the Alhambra municipal golf course at 9:00 am.  The golfers enjoyed a wonderful day on the course and were treated to box lunches prepared by Nora, Lori, Bing, Gayle, Chris, Erin and Trini.  The rest of us came later to the Hawaiian Luau dinner dance at 6:00 pm.  Seventy-one dinner dance tickets were sold as well as numerous raffle tickets.

Based on early counts, the total net proceeds is estimated at over $ 3,600.00.  Proceeds from the fund raiser go to the parish to offset the cost of the recently upgraded sound system in the church.  New speakers, mixing board, and microphones have already been purchased.  Many thanks to the ECM and all the volunteers who made the day a blessing for us all.

Many thanks to our volunteers and contributors:

Some comments from those in attendance:

Well, yesterday was reaaaaallly great et na-atiw kayo ay egay inmali. Salasalamat to everyone and a lot of thank's to manong  Joe  Dagan who managed this event with GUSTO.

Another "paggawisan" (sound system) is achieved and may we all be one again in doing this next time. Hey Junior Sacoy, you're a good Hawain Dancer. I didn't know you can dance that good. Did Heidi or Glen teach you that? Thank you too to the other entertainers, Karla, Jennee, Kaye and the Laoyan sisters.

Ala is awni kasin...

Salamat,
Nestor

Janea & Glenn Jr. Yes! that was a WOW! of a presentation from the youth! AND surprise, surprise, surprise - - - how about that performance of Sacoy, Jr. Heidi and Glenn if you are listening, you missed this gala event of your son’s debut of hula dancing. What an added calling to his many talents! That engaging smile of his makes me love him all the more, and boy can he sway “like a coconut tree”. Much thanks to the YOUTH for their performance which added more fun to the event. Looking forward to many more fine surprises. ….

Hi Nora, Lori, Trini,

Joey called to tell me he/they and his friends enjoyed the lunch prepared for them last Saturday for the golf tournament. He said, “mom that was a great lunch box, you gave us. Everything needed for a good and sustaining lunch was there and the sandwich was delicious. Nothing wasted! Best lunch box yet we had for a golf tournament”. Take that ladies, and pat yourselves in the back. The thanks really goes to the you three. Thanks also from Max, Manny A., Tom, and Muriel.

Auntie Chris
