Parish Annual meeting February 2007 - Senior Warden's report

Serving as senior warden this past year has been an honor and blessing.
This year has been one of great recovery and progress. We have put most
of the gossip and divisions behind us and have become a much more
organized and unified parish. We have seen tremendous progress in the
general organization and day to day operations of managing our parish,
particularly in our financial accounting. We have been blessed with
giving that has kept pace with our expenses, have caught up on all
delinquent bills, and routinely have a surplus in our operating budget.
Although there are still some areas that need to be improved, our
accounting and other management procedures are far better than at any
time I can remember.
I praise God that we have also had great support and dedication from
parishioners, committees, officers, and vestry members. I have seen the
budding of new and revived ministry with intercessory prayer, prayer
chain, healing team, a new Bible study group, and movement toward
establishing a new outreach ministry. I feel that we are on the cusp of
a tremendous opportunity for growth here at HTSB. I pray that we will
be able to continue making forward progress and will embrace the many
growth opportunities that God is placing before us.
All of this has made my job as senior warden very easy, perhaps a little
too easy. At times, I have felt guilty that I have not had to endure
trials of the magnitude our last senior warden had to deal with. In any
case, I thank God and all of you for a blessed year and I pray that our
next senior warden will have as easy a time at it as I have.

Thanks and God Bless!,

Brad Sherman
